We Need More Humans Crop Circles

The gizmos Steam reviews say the game never explains — circles, orbs, arms, and glowing humans.

Crop Circles

Crop circles are the joke that becomes a system. Early, the skill tree shows a Crop Circle Chance node that looks like flavour. A 4 June 2026 demo patch even renamed it Crop Circle Chance Each Second because nobody knew when the roll happened. Late, the neon city in the Steam gallery is made of circle pads, pyramids, orbs, and black holes. If you only vacuum sidewalks, you are playing a worse game. This page is the gizmo manual controls points at and locations cannot fit.

The embedded video is a real We Need More Humans session that spends a long stretch on crop-circle rolls, radioactive crowds, and respawn chance. One video per page; this is the one.

What a crop circle actually does

Playthroughs describe a circle slamming into the map and abducting whoever is standing in it. It is not a farm decoration. GrayStillPlays watches one land, then notices abduction strength roughly doubling while the circle lingers so extra humans can walk in. That linger is why Crop Circle time and Crop Circle size nodes exist later. A bigger, longer circle is a second beam you do not steer.

The chance line is the confusing part. Creators read 5% and ask “5% of what?” The official rename answers: each second. At 5% per second you should see circles often; at tiny early values it feels like “once every five years,” which is exactly how one incremental creator described the first purchases. Buy the node when it is the cheap unlocked diamond. Do not bank a million for a 5% you cannot roll yet. See upgrade priority.

You still have to fly over pads on the ground. Until a very late cluster fires the same gimmick across the whole map, circles do not auto-cast from the other side of a suburb. The late game build is routing: gizmos first, streets second.

Radioactive humans

Radiation is the payout cousin of circles. Glowing people print far more than the opening $2 villager. Mid-run clips show radioactive grabs in the hundreds or thousands; cape-wearing late forms in a launch-day video sit around $500k a pop. There is a radioactive bonus family on the tree. Chasing the glow is correct. Ignoring it to “stay meta” is not a build — there is no meta.

Radioactive crowds also clutter the screen. If you cannot tell cows from capes, stop identifying silhouettes and buy Instant Abduction. The evolution tier list names the joke bodies; this page only cares that glow equals money.

Other gizmos that travel with the circles

Steam reviews say interactive objects are the moment the game clicks, and that the UI barely labels them. Fly through:

  • Cyan orbs on snow and streets — pickups, often time or cash.
  • Pyramid / geometric pads in neon cities.
  • Black holes that tug at orbs. Treat them as hazards until you see a payout.
  • Arm spawn — extra cones hanging off the saucer for a few seconds. Early, they vanish fast; late, Arm Beam Capacity makes them a real second vacuum. Skill tree.
  • Respawn chance — humans (or density) coming back mid-round. Nice when you still have clock; rude when you are mopping a sign that will not hit zero.
  • Chance to add time — the + next to the round timer. Crop circles plus extra seconds is how a 1.6s snow map becomes playable.

None of these is a separate minigame. They are fly-over buttons. The controls page is the input; this page is the why.

When to buy the circle cluster

  • Desert / snow: skip unless it is the highlighted cheap node. Capacity and radius feed you. Early game build.
  • Suburb (Population 5,675): start caring. Pads appear. A lingering circle on a church lawn is free money.
  • Dense city / neon: S-tier. The gallery shot with $4.68B ticks is a gizmo map. Crop Circle Chance Each Second, size, time, radioactivity, Instant Abduction.

A very late node can spray the same effect across the whole map so you stop baby-sitting every pad. Until then, your path is the build.

Why this page exists

Players search “crop circle” because the tooltip is a shrug. They search “black hole” because a hole ate an orb. They search “how to get more time” because snow lasted 1.6 seconds. Those are the same system. The walkthrough tells you which biome you are in. The game modes page tells you extras will reuse these toys. This page tells you to fly into the glow on purpose.

If a future patch explains the 5% in-game, we will shorten this. Until then, each second, linger, double strength, fly over the pad.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

What does Crop Circle Chance Each Second mean?

The roll happens every second, not once per round. The 4 June 2026 demo patch renamed the node for that reason.

Do I click to fire a crop circle?

No. Chance rolls, then a circle lands. You still fly over ground pads. See controls.

Are radioactive humans worth chasing?

Yes. They pay far more than beige villagers. Details sit with evolutions and this page.

When should I buy crop-circle upgrades?

When they are the cheap unlocked node, and especially on neon maps. Upgrade priority.

Do extra modes change gizmos?

They remix rules. The toys stay. Game modes.
