We Need More Humans Late Game Build

Dense cities, billion-dollar scoops, and the shopping list that ends Normal mode.

Late Game Build

Late game starts when a single sweep prints six or seven figures and the skill tree shows prices like Arm Beam Capacity 15 > 20 for $250.00M while you are holding $845M. Official shots for this phase: Population 14,388 neon with $4.68B ticks, and Population 27,684 daytime soup. If you are still on Population 23, go back to the early game build.

This page is the clear-speed kit for how to complete. It assumes you already believe the tree is linear. You are not picking a “black-hole spec.” You are buying leftover S nodes and flying through gizmos on purpose.

The late shopping list (in order of bottleneck)

  1. Arm Beam Capacity / Arm Beam Radius. Extra cones are how a 27k map is possible. If the snow screenshot’s four-arm saucer was a preview, this is the paid version.
  2. Instant abduction chance. Animation is the enemy when the street is a texture of people. This is the mop-up node.
  3. Human value and Evolution leftovers. Neon billions come from these. See evolutions.
  4. Crop Circle Chance Each Second. Neon floors are crop-circle art. If you never trigger pads, you are playing a worse game. Full manual: crop circles.
  5. Round Time. 23.1s on a neon shot is stacked time. If your clock is still desert-sized, buy this before another vanity diamond.
  6. Map-wide gimmick node (very late). Reviews mention a last-cluster upgrade that fires the same toy across the whole map. Until you have it, you still baby-sit every pad. After you have it, the walkthrough lawnmower is close.

Fill anything else because it is cheap and unlocked. Do not tour locked grey locks on a pad.

Routing a dense map

Think lawnmower plus errands:

  • Hit time pickups (+) early so the round actually exists.
  • Clip orbs, pyramids, crop circles on a first pass.
  • Treat black holes as hazards until you see them pay you. Reviews are split on whether they eat your orbs.
  • Then sweep streets. Humans stay in the beam; you do not stop.
  • If FPS dips on a spawn wave, keep the stick moving. Options will not summon a magic LOD slider the store page forgot.

Locations is the atlas. Controls is the reminder that gizmos are fly-over buttons, not automatic until that last node.

What not to buy for power

Cosmetic hulls. New beam colours. Anything the Game Complete screen calls customisation. Launch reviews are blunt: no stat bonus. Save the fashion for after Normal, or never.

Also do not hoard. Cash persists between rounds. If you finish a neon lap with $845M and an unlocked $250M arm node, click it. Sitting on a billion “for the last upgrade” is how the Mixed Steam score happens.

Extra modes after the build

Once Normal folds, extra modes and Endless reuse this kit. The game modes page is the menu legend. They are not a reason to respec, because you cannot respec. Take leftover achievements, then stop or keep abducting for the joke. The roadmap is where to look if you are waiting for real branching in a future patch.

Benchmarks that mean you are done

  • Population signs in the five digits.
  • Dollar ticks with B in them.
  • Arm beams visible on the hull.
  • Tree clusters on the right-hand hexagons lit green.
  • A round that suddenly vacuums the rest of the map without you hunting the last twenty people.

That last bullet is the finale. If it never happens, you are missing Instant Abduction, radius, or a leftover locked cluster. Open the upgrade checklist and tick. Then take one more lap.

The review will tell you whether this late game felt like a snack or a slog. Both readings are fair. This build only tries to make the slog shorter.
